Review Campaign
Overview
Review Campaign lets you send a one-time batch of review request emails to customers who already placed orders in the past. It’s designed for “catch-up” review collection—so you don’t have to wait for automated review request schedules to reach older orders.
This is useful when you want to:
- Collect reviews right after installing Rivyo
- Request reviews from older orders that never received a review email
- Boost review collection during a short promotion or seasonal period
- Run a targeted campaign for a specific order window (for example, last month’s orders)
How Review Campaign works
A Review Campaign sends review request emails to customers whose orders fall within a date range you choose. Rivyo uses that date range to find eligible orders, then sends a review request email to the customers attached to those orders.
- You choose a Start Date and End Date.
- Rivyo gathers orders placed within that period.
- Review request emails are sent to those customers.
Create a Review Campaign
Follow these steps to send review requests to customers from past orders.
Campaign date range
The date range controls which orders are included. Think of it as: “Send review requests for orders placed between these dates.”
Start Date
The beginning of the order period.
- Example: If your Start Date is
Jan 1, orders placed on/after that date can be included (depending on how your store records order timestamps).
End Date
The final day of the order period.
- Example: If your End Date is
Jan 31, orders placed up to that date can be included (depending on how your store records order timestamps).
Maximum date range
By default, Rivyo allows Review Campaigns for orders from the last 6 months. This limit helps maintain strong email performance and deliverability.
Track campaign status
After you create a campaign, it appears in the Past Order Review Request list (on the Review Campaign page). This table helps you confirm what was sent and when.
Common columns you’ll see include:
- Date created — when you started the campaign
- Campaign range — the Start Date and End Date used for order selection
- Status — the current sending progress

- In progress / Sending — Rivyo is currently sending review request emails for this campaign.
- Completed — all review request emails for the campaign have been processed and sent.
Best practices (recommended)
- Start with a smaller date range (for example, 1–2 weeks) to validate your email content and results before sending to a larger audience.
- Avoid overlapping campaigns for the same period to reduce the chance of customers receiving multiple review requests close together.
- Time campaigns around delivery when possible—customers are more likely to review after receiving the product.
- Use clear expectations in your email: keep the review request short and focused, and ensure your store branding is consistent.
FAQ
No. A Review Campaign is a manual, one-time send. You choose the order date range and create the campaign when you’re ready.
Use Review Campaign when you want to collect reviews from past orders immediately (for example, right after installing Rivyo). Use automated review requests to continuously collect reviews from new orders going forward.
If you selected an incorrect range, create a new campaign with the correct dates. To prevent duplicate outreach, avoid re-sending to the same order period unless you intentionally want to follow up.
